These examples of web site design illustrate not only layout,
but how each site accomodates the needs of the individual client.

FILM
Conversations in Limbo was developed to promote an independent short film touring global film festivals. It included not only information about the film itself, but also a printable copy of the hard copy press kit for media use. This is a two-frame site, with the primary index on the bottom of the screen. The image on the left of the screen was an animated strip of images from the film.

It included 7 web pages (including the home page) with a total of 14 images. A screen capture page added a total of 20 images with supporting thumbnail images (for a total of 40 separate images). The press kit added 7 pages, with a total of 5 supporting images (including a printable film poster).
DIRECTOR/ACTOR
Paul Johansson Online became the official domain area for Mr. Johansson, incorporating his work for "Conversations in Limbo" with an Official site, and a separate Fan Club site. This single page linking to other sites also served as a central location for any current promotional information.

The interior page shown is from his Official site, which illustrates another two-frame structure, with the index frame lining the left side of the page. A link back to his main domain page is found in the left frame.
ARTIST
Carl Bass (aka Night Owl) was a professional potter who turned to Internet technology in his early 70s, and used a combination of personal resources to develop a new series of art forms.

The 6 pages of information included examples of his work by genre, a biographical page, and a page from which to order a calendar highlighting some of his work, all linking from the index frame at the top of the page. A total of 680 images were used.
This site was created as a tribute to his work following his death in April of 2001.
ARTIST/WEB DESIGNER
Dwarf Designs became the central Internet location for the collective works of p a pearson, including graphics, web design properties, publications, and a resume.

While the Home Page is a two-frame structure, the interior page shown is the Gallery home page, divided into 4 frames (plus the home page index frame to other areas of the site). A list of the separate Gallery pages link from the frame in the upper right corner, and appear in the larger, center frame. Thumbnail images from those individual Gallery pages link to larger images in the lower right frame. The entire site included 28 pages with an accompanying total of 179 images.
PUBLISHING
STREET Magazine's online site serves not only as an archive for past hard copy STREET editions, but also to highlight current projects, as well as offer instant resources to advertising rates, publication deadlines, and a multitude of community-orientated news and links.

The interior page shown maintains the Home Page frame at the top, with a left frame offering the various hard copy and digital publications available online. The right frame changes with the publications to include supporting information (such as author biographies, dates of publications, etc).
OGDEN DINING GUIDE
Duplicated for use on the Internet, the Ogden Dining Guide includes not only dining by area, shopping, night spots, transportation, and accomodations, it contains the articles as found in the hard copy edition, and a list of advertising sponsors with links provided to their web sites (as available).

This site was created with an inline frame, which means everything stays the same throughout the site, but for the middle area of the screen. The interior image contains a Drop Down Menu which links (aka targets) a specific area on that particular page. This procedure does not add extra pages, but does take extra design time. This site included (?) pages, with (?) accompanying graphics
