The Celebration in Ogden...

After coming across the nation and up through the state of Utah, the Olympic Flame will arrive and stay the night with Ogden City, on Feb. 6, right here on Historic 25th Street. The party begins at 7:40 p.m. outside of the Union Station, with live music, performers, and large screen video clips that are sure to add fuel to the Olympic excitement. There will also be a “Parade of Peace,” containing 1,100 Ogden-area youth marching down 25th Street. The three hours gala will culminate in the bearing of the torch to the stage as it ends its day journey to light the onstage cauldron. All merchants along 25th Street are pleased to announce that business hours will be extended throughout the celebration. On the morning of the 7th, at 7 a.m., the torch will depart for Park City. On the 9th of February, the party will be refreshed with "Ogden's Spirit of the West" celebration commencing on the same Union Stage with headliner Huey Lews & the News performing at 7:00 p.m. Food, crafts, and entertainment at the finished amphitheater will all be part of the planned delight also. Entertainment is free.
