SARA ON THE STREET

Those who have invested in 25th Street share their thoughts about the past present and future of the Street.

Zach England:
Co-owner of Great Harvest Bread

Zach enjoys all the outdoor activities Ogden and the surrounding mountains have to offer. He believes the Olympics may allow both the world and the locals to discover the uniqueness, character and hidden treasures of 25th street.

Brent Baldwin,
owner of The Cowboy Trading Post

Brent loves all the cool buildings on 25th street. He remembers hearing about the WWII era when Ogden was the largest layover in the West. At that time soldiers crowded the streets shoulder to shoulder. Brent doesn’t know what to think about the Olympics but he’ll soon find out.

Todd Ferrario & Mike Attento,
owners and chefs of The Bistro.

The first word that comes to Todds mind when talking about 25th Street is Synergy. He feels it is the only place to hang out in Ogden and that there’s a really good vibe throughout the whole street. Todd has attended Olympic games before and says there is nothing like the energy created by cheering on your country.

Pete Buhschardt, co-owner of Roosters
Brent loves all the cool buildings on 25th street. He remembers hearing about the WWII era when Ogden was the largest layover in the West. At that time soldiers crowded the streets shoulder to shoulder. Brent doesn’t know what to think about the Olympics but he’ll soon find out. Pete feels historic 25th Street will soon attract both tourists and locals alike. Pete is expecting a two week party-like atmosphere on the street during the Olympics.

Mark Ramsey,
25th Street Officer

Mark thinks back with nostalgia, at how much 25th Street has changed. He loves what the street has grown into, and is excited to see what’s to come. He feels tourists will be attracted to the area because whether summer, spring winter or fall “we have something for everyone all the time.”

Dave Duran,
co-owner of the Olympic Store

In general Dave thinks of 25th as a happenin'’ place with great restaurants, art and shopping. “There’s a little bit of whatever you need down here.” Dave believes the Olympics are going to be great for the community and 25th Street.

Scott Van Leeuwen,
owner of The Gift House

Scott's been on 25th for 42 years. His first thought about the street is all the good friends he’s made and how much potential the street has. He believes the Olympics are the greatest thing that ever happened to Utah. “Scotty” also believes that alot of people will be impressed with the quaintness of 25th Street and the originality of the people that are there.

Sara Toliver & Jo Packham,
co-owners of Ruby and Begonia

Jo thinks that Ogden is breath-taking and loves the diversity of the city. She believes that 25th Street has unlimited potential and the Olympics are a wonderful opportunity to introduce our community to the world.
