Ogden Mural Welcomes All

OGDEN ARTIST MURAL BEAUTIFIES DOWNTOWN AND BRINGS ART TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE CITY

Kelly Donovan, Ogden artist shares his love of the old west not only in his art paintings displayed at various galleries throughout several states but also for all of us to share and see everyday as we move through downtown Ogden. Kelly has always loved the old west and his art shows it. This giant mural on the side of the Historic Berthana Building is a welcome mat for all the visitors who come off the viaduct from the freeway and enter into downtown commemerating our roots to the old west and our world famous Pioneer Days events.

The actual physical work of painting the mural took a week to paint with a four inch brush and months of planning. Thanks goes out to Kelly from our community for reminding all of us the value of art and the value of beautifying our downtown city with such fine artistry for us all to enjoy. This magazine hopes, as do many of the residence and downtowners that many more of his murals and many other artists like this will continue to be painted throughout downtown.
